Phoenix, Arizona- Today began the first day of the first degree or felony murder trial of Jodi Arias for the murder of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander.

Arias is accused of viciously stabbing and shooting her former boyfriend in his home after a romantic afternoon which included footage of the couples rendezvous taken on Alexander’s camera.

Alexander broke off ties with Arias  several months before according to his close friends, but not so much- according to cell and other electronic communications shared between the two.   The phrase “He’s just not that into you” and Ms. Arias are apparently strangers.

Travis was a young and successful entrepreneur with a 5 bedroom home.  Arias was a High School drop out content to take pictures of the two globetrotting on Alexander’s dime.

Arias converted to the Mormon faith in her efforts to win the wedded affections of the handsome upstart she moved to Mesa from her hometown of Yreka, CA for.

Travis decided he wanted a Mormon do-over with a suitable young woman and asked Arias to move out.     Arias returned to her family home (or pretended to) and diligently stalked her way through waiting out the *friends with benefits* routine she was sure to cure Travis of.

When Arias learned Travis was headed to Cancun with a woman he had just begun dating it was clear Jodi was not fond of giving up what she considered her earned frequent flyer spot. (more…)

The Face of Evil In Newtown Connecticut Elementary Massacre: Adam Lanza Death Toll At 28

Posted by BOC Staff | Adam Lanza,Nancy Lanza,Peter Lanza,Ryan Lanza,Sandy Hook Elementary | Friday 14 December 2012 9:32 pm

Newtown, CT-  At approximately 9:40 this morning twenty year old Adam Lanza walked into Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, CT.   Lanza  With a Glock in one hand and a Sig Sauer in the other he locked-down a classroom of terrified students and by the time it was over had savagely murdered 20 children.    Adam Lanza has no criminal record.

He was also in the possession of a semi automatic rifle, believed to be responsible for the majority of the mortal wounds.

At press time, their is one known injured adult survivor.

Parents were alerted of an emergency via text message and all access point to the school were clogged with hysterical parents and family members desperate for information about their sons and daughters.

The scene reduced hardened SWAT members and emergency responders to open sobs-  As it almost did during President Obama’s press conference on it earlier this evening.

A parent attending a meeting with the principal and school psychologist, both of which are believed to be among the victims, called 911 from under a desk.

Taken into custody this afternoon was Adam’s older brother Ryan who is currently being questioned in Hoboken, NJ.

It is believed Adam was carrying his older brother’s identification which led to early erroneous reports that Ryan was the shooter.

Peter Lanza,  Father and former husband of the late Nancy Lanza was alerted to the tragedy and questioned near his home in Stamford, CT.   Mr. Lanza is a Tax Strategist executive for a division of General Electric.

Two 9 millimeter semi-automatic weapons registered to Adam’s Mother Nancy- a  former teacher or volunteer at Sandy Hook who has  also been found deceased at the pair’s  Yogananda St  residence were found with Lanza’s remains.

Adam Lanza ia believed to have taken his life  at the scene and early reports suggest no law enforcement officers discharged firearms at the scene.

Lanza was dressed in black and wearing a bullet proof vest.

Today’s mass shooting is the second largest in US history after the Virginia Tech massacre, killing 32 college students.

Kyron Horman Missing: Civil Suit Against Terri Horman DELAYED AND SEALED- Prompted By NEW LEADS

Portland, OR-  As many of you have been following since June 2010,  there is a new development today in the disappearance of Kyron Horman.

As predicted at BOC,  the civil suit brought by Deisree Young, Kyron’s  Mother, against Terri Horman, Kyron’s step-mother and the defacto suspect in his disappearance has been granted an abatement.

In a sealed filing,  motions by Assistant District Attorney Michael Schrunk and Multnomah County Sheriff Dan Staton were granted,  delaying the suit .  The motions included supporting affidavits that continuing the action as already ruled would compromise the investigation.

The decision presents an ironic twist .

Terri Horman’s lawyers originally  fought vehemently to abate the action,  but were unsuccessful.  As recently as last week, the Judge in the case ordered medical records to be accessible to both parties to the action.

In Judge Kantnor’s decision to NOT abate the suit at the request of Attorney Peter Bunch for Terri Horman,  the Multnomah County Prosecutors Office declared “no position” on the matter after being contacted by the court.

It is not known if that order prompted the request to delay the suit .

Sheriff Stanton,  Eldin Rosenthal,  Norm Frink and Stephen Houze declined comment at press time.

On Monday, Judge Henry Kantor granted the motions to abate the civil proceeding and ordered the motions and affidavits filed by the district attorney and sheriff sealed.

A  hearing had been scheduled  for Dec. 14 to hear Young’s attorney argue before the court to compel testimony from DeDe Spicher,  an alleged witness in the case.  Today’s ruling is likely to render a postponement of that proceeding.

Sheriff Dan Staton,  told Oregon Live,  it is based on early leads that are now panning out:

“There are a couple of investigative pieces that are going to open up,” Staton told The Oregonian Tuesday. “Our belief is they’re going to open up several investigative doors.”

He said the new “investigative avenues” are based on information collected in the early phase of the investigation that are now yielding some results.
